Vicariously House Hunting

in All Posts

Evening!  It was another fun and productive day in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Today we focused on commercial office spaces for the holistic clinic and homes for my in-laws.

Before we left, I snacked on some yogurt I snatched from the hotel breakfast buffet:

Then, we met up with a commercial realtor who recommended two areas in Charlotte for the clinic:  South Park and Ballantyne.  While we drove over to those spaces, I snacked on a True Delights bar.

(Thank God for the Garmin!!)

We went to South Park first and checked out several commercial spots.

We found one area called Morrison Place that would be an excellent fit because it caters towards the healthy-lifestyle demographic.  There’s an EarthFare, a yoga studio, etc. in the same mixed-use area.

We grabbed lunch around 2:00…. my eating schedule is so off.

I ate 2/3 of a turkey burger with cheese, plus a few bites of baked beans.

Afterwards, we stopped at Starbucks.  I got a Skinny Vanilla Latte and 1/2 a sugar cookie. 🙂 YUM!

After looking at several other commercial properties (I am SO impressed with Charlotte!), we decided to go house hunting with my in-laws.  They are looking at homes at a TOTALLY different level than the Husband and I!

This 8,000 square foot MANSION had 6 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms.  It also had my DREAM KITCHEN!

Check out that GIANT granite island!

And look at this view….

After finishing up house hunting, we drove back to the hotel.  I am also very excited because my mommy has driven to Charlotte to spend the next two nights with us.  :)

We’ve switched hotels, and I’m SO happy because I love Embassy.  Mostly because it has a free happy hour from 5:30 – 7:30!  I had a white wine spritzer (Chardonnay + Sprite).  I am happy to see her!

We’re off to eat!  See you for dinner.

LOL – sometimes when I’m at my parents’ house I wonder if I’ll ever own more than 1,000 sqft!
HH at the Embassy is the bomb – and that’s what I usually “get” when I stay there.
So is this Charlotte thing a done deal or are you still “thinking” about it?

Glad to see you are having a great time. These homes are so adorable and the town looks so quaint and charming. 🙂

Random question, when you lived in PA, have you ever had a Rita’s Italian Ice? Today, being the first day of Spring, Rita’s gives away a free medium ice which is HUGE here in PA. We make sure we hit up some free frozen sugar water….it’s awesome!

    Have a great weekend!
