Good evening! Sorry I didn’t post ALL day! I am obviously in a whirlwind of emotions at this point, so I’m sorry if posting isn’t very regular.
My morning started off with a yummy platter of WW pancakes and some real maple syrup.
Plus a banana.
Then my mother, my maid of honor Sarah, and I drove to the wedding site to drop off materials for the wedding. Sarah has never seen the site before so it was pretty exciting.
Here’s me and my mom at the golf course.
Afterwards, we met up with Meghann and had lunch at Dandelion CommuniTea house. It’s an all vegan, hippie place that I just LOVE!
The menu is so hippie! I love it!
We started off with a hummus dip platter that the 4 of us shared. Yum!
My entree was BBQ Tofu Quinoa and a side salad.
This was actually my first quinoa experience and I loved it!
And then it was time for my Bridal Shower!! My first Bridal Shower was a "Working" Shower, so this was my real shower.
I arrived at my aunt’s house to a wonderful cheese and crackers spread.
Everything was labeled so cutely.
She also had a bunch of Napa Valley wines to prepare me for my honeymoon!
Myself, my little cousin, my maid of honor Sarah, and Meghann. I look so tall next to these girls, and I’m only 5 foot 4!
The buffet….
My plate + wine…
Present time!!!
My aunt and my mother….
My rehearsal bouquet made from the present bows…. a southern tradition!
My aunt, uncle, and my mom (he showed up at the end!).
Then I tried on my aunt’s 1990 veil. It was rocking!
And then we left for the 1 hour drive home…. and my tire blew within 10 minutes of getting on the road!! MINOR DISASTER!
Luckily, Progressive Insurance sent someone out within an hour to fix the tire.
I ate a cupcake while waiting…
And had a bowl of mac and cheese and broc when getting home!
WHEW! That’s it! See you tomorrow for manicures, pedicures, and a BIG NEW YEAR’S BASH!

you are glowing in all the pics!! pretty bride
your family is so great – nice to see meghann too!
I’m too lazy to post.. good for you for getting yours up tonight though! I made it home safe and sound! I’ll see you tomorrow and we’ll bring in 2009 in style!
Ooh, I’m glad it was a minor disaster and not something worse.
You must be so excited! I hope your start of 2009 is amazing; you’re certainly starting it off with a bang!
How sweet of your aunt – looks like she did a great job with your shower. Isn’t is nice to feel so loved?
The Dandelion CommuniTea house looks like my kind of place! Glad you enjoyed your first quinoa experience – good stuff!
wow, busy day! But so fun! Your shower looked awesome. I loved the Napa wines, what a thoughtful touch!
Have fun tomorrow!!
Too bad about the tire but LOVELY shower! You should totally wear your aunt’s veil for your wedding
That vegan hippie restaurant looks so cute too. I have yet to try quinoa but I wish my first experience with it could look that awesome.
Sounds like your shower was a blast!! I am so jealous of that Dandelion Cafe…it seems like my kind of place!
Your shower looks like so much fun! We did the bouquet thing for my best friend when she got married in June. It must be a midwest thing too!
I’m amazed you were able to post at all with all the action today! Cut yourself some slack girl!
That restaurant looks so fun and your shower looked like a blast too! Just enjoy every second of it all…this is YOUR time!
How fun! Looks like the shower was a successs! So happy for you

i dont think the bow bouquet is just a southern tradition, we do it here too and then we use the bouquet to walk down the aisle during the rehearsal dinner

Sounds like you had a fabulous day … minus the flat tire. What a bummer!
Have a good day today! Happy New Year!
Aw – everything looks great!! Your wedding is so soon, YAY!!
Great pictures! I am so excited for you and your future hus! The buffet setup is gorgeous…I especially love the vines/leave garland around everything. Very “napa”
Congratulations!!! I’m so excited for you !!
love the Gahndi quote!
Awww I am so sorry to hear about the flat tire. At least the wait wasn’t that long, but still, not a good way to end the year. At least you had a cupcake!!!
Dandelion looks adorable! I bet you’ll be cooking your own quinoa in no time!
Have a great New Year, Caitlin!!!
