4th of July Par-tay!

Our 4th of July party was a success!  :)

CIMG6835

It was a huge blogger get together!  From left to right:  Ashley, Ryan, me, Megan, and Kelly

All the foodies brought over some great munchies:

I started off with a glass of champagne:

And then had a Strongbow:

And then a Sangria that Ryan made:

It was quite a fun party.  We hung out in the backyard and played with all the puppies, including Kelly’s new puppy, Oliver.  He is the cutest thing ever.

Ashley and James had a minor love affair.  I thought James was going to leave me for her!  :)

I kind of just snacked on random fruit, Blue Chips and salsa, and delicious homemade cookies!

And Plate 2:

In hindsight, that was a lot of cookies:)   They were so good!  But I am definitely OVER the indulgences of the weekend — bring on the vegetables tomorrow!

It’s always fun to hang out with other bloggers and talk shopKelly (who is Meghann’s little sister) has actually launched her blog now; check it out — it’s called Beneath It All.

And ironically enough, we never got to watch the downtown Orlando fireworks!  We were having so much fun playing Catch Phrase (great icebreaker game, by the way) that we left too late to get parking and ended up just pulling over on a random side street to watch from a distance.

Maybe next year!  :)

I’m off to bed — I hope you had a fun and happy 4th of July!

Your fruit kebabs looks so good! You should know your Strongbow just made me massively homesick! It's my favorite!

I took the 10 Minute Challenge today. Check it out on my blog!

    What fun! :)

I just noticed that you had gone to the Melting Pot. I went there to celebrate my sis' bachelorett last year and LOVED it too. It was very cool to see the exact same plate that we had ordered, with the cheesecake and brownie bites. YUM! :)

    Glad you had a great 4th! :-)

What a fun way to spend the 4th!

I am totally with you on getting back to the veggies! My tummy is a mess from the junk food (even just a little bit!) that I ate this weekend.

    Have a great day!

    I miss James <3

Sorry we broke off toward the end of the Lake Eola parking hunt! David's boss lives in the area and had a spot open. I'm glad you guys got to see the fireworks anyway!

Thanks for having us over last night. We had a great time!
