Relax Week!

It’s going to be a GREAT week!

I know this because I’ve declared it RELAX WEEK.  Yes, I still have to work, but I’m going to do one nice thing for myself every single day to help me relax.  This morning I made time to put on a face mask and sent out e-mails to some old friends.  It was very relaxing and put me in a good mood.  :)

Breakfast was uplifting, too!

A whole wheat waffle with a sliced banana, blueberries, and Oikos Greek yogurt.

Plus, a generous dribble of maple syrup!

That, my friends, is what we foodies refer to as "food porn."  YUM!

Operation Beautiful

The Monday notes are posted!  Here’s my favorite of the day:

Dana wrote, “I love your site and the idea of it.  It has really lifted my spirits and I love to read the notes everyday.  Today, I went to lunch with my family at Red Robin and posted 6 notes all over the bathroom including the ones below!”

Check out the rest of the Monday notes at Operation Beautiful!  And remember to take your own Operation Beautiful picture and send it to me at seebriderun@gmail.com!

i think relax week sounds like a great thing :)

love the waffle, and I love that you gave the older woman your umbrella this weekend. That brought tears to my eyes. There are so many small things we can do each day to make someone else's day better and I love that Operation Beautiful is bringing this out in so many people.

Hey Caitlin- Your breakfasts always look so yummy! I was wondering if you had any good healthy and filling ideas for breakfasts on the go. I have to be at work at 7 am and it's hard for me to sit down and make a meal. Thanks! -Jocelyn

You must have read the same magazine I did! It was either Shape or Body + Soul that suggested taking an "off" week every so often and doing something nice for yourself the whole week. Sounds like a great idea. Enjoy!
