If you’ve been reading the blog since Christmas time, you know I am obsessed with gingerbread cookies.  Mmmmm.  I decided to give my pancakes a little bit of a gingerbread spin this morning.

CIMG3362

I added pinches of ginger and cloves, a bunch of cinnamon, and a dollap of molasses to prepared Hodgson Mill’s InstaBake WW Pancake mix and…. viola!

Gingerbread pancakes!

CIMG3364

These were soooo delicious.  They weren’t intense like I like gingerbread cookies to be, but the mild flavor worked well with pancakes.

Plus, a plum on the side.

And a coffee.  Ugh, Mondays.

What’s In Your Bag?

I always wonder what people carry around in their purses or backpacks.  There’s always a few surprises, and I think you can learn a lot about someone by what’s in their purse!

Here’s my purse:

CIMG3369

And here’s what is inside:

CIMG3370

Clockwise from the top:

  • My huge wallet that I really need to replace
  • My planner
  • A bag of pecans, almonds, and raisins for emergency snacks
  • Travel Tiger Balm
  • The Husband’s Wallet
  • A matchbook
  • A ziploc bag of the Husband’s supplements
  • Lotion
  • Lipstick
  • A hair fubby
  • My cell phone

What’s in your bag?

Ugh, I don’t want to even look at my purse because I know it’s a disaster in there.

Haha, why do you carry the husband’s wallet? If Harrison asks me, I’m going to tell him to get a murse (man+purse) of his own!

Hee hee, “hair fubby.” That’s such a cute turn of phrase!

And can we talk about how delicious gingerbread pancakes are? My stomach just groaned in sadness that we don’t have any.

I’m one of those people who has a Mary Poppins bag with a TON of weird stuff in it. Highlights include: a spare bra; three forks; a toy duck, pig, and cow; and a can of black beans. All of those things have been in there since before the holidays.

My bag has my wallet, my check book, a list of books someone recommended I read, a pen, some blistex and my cell phone. I keep resisting a larger bag that would allow me to fit more in there!

When I’m using a smaller purse it always has: wallet, planner, pen, cell phone, chapstick, lotion, bc pill case, and hairbrush w/ hair-tie wrapped around it. When I’ve got a bigger purse… well, then all hell breaks loose. :-P

I love that you showed the inside of your purse– I think it’s so interesting to see what people think is important enough to carry around with them all day! Although I wouldn’t want to show the inside of mine… it’s everything but the kitchen sink!
