Good morning!

IMG_0273

Look, it’s a breakfast of Healthy Tipping Point days past.  I woke up this morning thinking, “I really want a yogurt mess!” so that’s what I made.  I used to eat this for breakfast all of the time, but I’m on a pretty firm egg kick these days.

In the mix:

Yogurt

Almonds

Chia Seeds

Blueberries

Raw oats <— I swear, it works! Just as good as granola.

Plus a biiiiig cup of Millston Coffee Co. coffee in my very favorite Super Mom Potion mug. Hah.  This stuff is so good – and I’m giving some away this week! Don’t forget to enter the giveaway!

I made some yummy coffee popsicles over the weekend.  <3  To die for.

Last Week’s Workouts

My new plan to Pencil In My Workouts as opposed to just winging it is going so well.  I should’ve done this weeks ago!  I much more focused and purposeful in my exercise now that I’m planning a bit ahead… and I’m getting closer and closer to that goal of ‘sweat every day’ (<—of course I believe in rest days, but I also believe in moving my body as much as possible = not every workout has to be a hard one!).  Here’s what I did last week:

Monday: 30 minutes cardio (half on the Stairclimber, half on the elliptical)

Tuesday: Yoga

Wednesday: 2.5 mile walk with jogging stroller

Thursday: Yoga

Friday: Off

Saturday: 1 hour 30 minute hike with Henry and James

Sunday: Yoga

So much yoga, right?!  I’m loving it!  The Husband and I have been going to all the classes together, which is a nice way to spend time with one another.  <3  With the exception of a Monday class that we missed last week (and this week), we tried out all the classes that we can make in our schedule.  I really loved one class, was uncomfortably hot in another, and felt pretty meh about one of the instructors.  I’m hoping to continue going at least twice a week from here on out.

My goals for this week include:  actual running, more yoga, and some strength training action.

I’m jealous of all the yoga! I really need to reincorporate yoga as a regular part of my routine but I’ve been majorly slacking on that as of late. Way to go, girl!

Yes! Love raw oats (and muesli) in yogurt. So delish.

I worked out everyday last week: one workout in each triathlon discipline plus yoga and strength workouts. A great week of workouts! This week I want to knock out a strong brick workout as I have a tri in two weeks.

Your yogurt bowl looks delicious! Last week my workouts were great. 40+ miles and a little strength training. Aiming for the same mileage this week and more days of weights!

I definitely need to get back into yoga more — I know my body would appreciate it! 🙂

Hooray for yogurt messes!! Mine was exactly the same except for chia seeds! 🙂 Hope you have a great day!

I first tried adding raw oats to my yogurt bowls because I saw it so often on your blog! I LOVE it and have turned several of my friends onto it too 🙂

My workouts this past week were super fun- my dad and I rode 50 miles on our bikes in 3 days, at an average speed of 15mph. we woke up wake and got to ride with the rising sun! needless to say, my butt is sore…so this next week I will be focusing a little more on arms 🙂

This is my kind of workout week – I love all the yoga and walking! My week consisted of mostly walking, one run, a long bike ride, and some push-ups. I just found a pool near us, so I’m super excited to try it out soon!

Oh, and I’ve been wanting to make coffee popsicles too, but I haven’t gotten around to it. Did you follow a recipe?

Thank you for that quote ~ I love it …. and need to remember it ~ I started CrossFit 2 months ago…. <3

I am a firm believer in planning out my workouts before the week begins! It really helps to keep me motivated and gets me out the door in the morning. Last week was spent traveling, but I got a couple of runs and some strength training in.

Great job making sure that fitness remains a priority during this pregnancy! That’s great that you all can practice yoga together. Bo isn’t allowed to practic eyoga because he’s hyper flexible. 🙁

I’ve also really been into yoga again lately, and I think my body is loving me for it!

  • Emily August 4, 2014, 2:13 pm

I was on vacation last week, so my workouts were mostly running across hot sand to get from the beach towel into the ocean surf. Not bad, but I was all fired up to hit the gym again when I got home!

  • Jenny August 4, 2014, 4:16 pm

I’ve just started getting into yoga and I’m loving it! I’m a cross country runner and was always scared to try it because I am not flexible at all. Love how meditative it is!

Speaking of yogurt and oats, I saw at the store today that Chobani is selling yogurt with steel cut oats mixed in! I bought some but have yet to try it.
