All I can say is that when we went to lunch, and I had to choose between going on a run later and drinking a big ol’ blood orange margarita (because we all know that running and margaritas don’t mix very well…), I chose the drink. I had no idea that Charlotte was about to be hit by an actual snowstorm and – quite frankly – this Southern girl does not venture outside willingly when there’s white stuff on the ground. Let alone run!
On that note… Happy Snow Day!

The snow in Charlotte looks absolutely beautiful! And that little snowman is adorable haha… but great choice with the Blood Orange Margarita! That sounds delicious.
I’m from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
I wish that much snow was considered a snow day:(
I haven’t seen the grass since early December (and that’s late)
Waiting patiently for The end of march to see it again!
Good choice with the margarita!
I am from Toronto Ontario but currently live in Colorado – both places have lots of snow!!!
Blood Orange, sounds delicious. Our bodies need that every now and then. Studies show that when we shake things up a little, our bodies react positively. Enjoy the drink and enjoy your next run.
Sounds like you made the right decision with that margarita!
How funny! It was bright and sunny in Oregon today. I’d love some snow.
We had more snow than that last weekend and not much got cancelled. I did nearly get into two accidents on my way back from church last Sunday and avoided going out the rest of the day, but nothing was really closed. My hometown basically got a blizzard (something like eight or ten inches), but we didn’t get quite that much (prob not even five). The snow’s been melting the last couple of days, but it’s still clinging. Turning into ice, which is not all that fun…
beautiful pics! I’ve lived in a snowy clime for almost two years and it’s just so lovely
Stay warm!
I know that this comment is not pertinent to this post but I was catching up on the last few days’ worth and I wanted to say I’m sorry that people are spreading their negative thoughts via comments on your blog. I think that you look great and as always I love the healthy lifestyle you exemplify through your blog. My vote is to stay positive and try to spread that positivism to others who struggle with it. I love that you have found a mommy group to spend time with and I also enjoyed your pet post!
Thanks Lisa!
Yum, blood orange margarita? Sounds amazing!
Your pictures are stunning at that margarita sounds like a GREAT call!
Stay warm!
I am totally jealous!! I moved to a tropical country last year and I miss vacationing in the snowy mountains. It’s a bit different here: 90 degrees and 80% humidity! But I run anyway!
Congrats on the snow day and enjoy hanging out. It’s special.
Darn. We are in PA and no snow:( Would like at least ONE good storm before spring. Enjoy!
It looks beautiful! I love the look of fresh snow. Too bad we never get any down here on the gulf coast!
Wow! We just got a bunch of hail here in Columbia, SC yesterday. I wish it had snowed! I’d love to see just a little bit. Beautiful pictures – I love the snow on the palm tree!
This must be Henry’s first real snow, isn’t it? Did you guys get to play in it? I would love to see his reaction! Photos, please!
He touched it but didn’t seem to care too much LOL
Gorgeous! So wish we would get some in Georgia!

Another hello from Ottawa, Canada (lots of Ontario people commenting!)
This is so funny because I was watching the Weather Network this morning and they showed a snowy pic that someone from NC sent in and my first thought was “wonder if Caitlin will blog about the snow” LOL
We have gotten slammed with snow this winter. There is so much that my husband can’t reach the snowbanks (otherwise know as our front lawn) anymore to throw the snow on top! So he has to trudge down the sidewalk with it and find somewhere else to dump it.
Just for fun I looked up our total accumulation so far this winter since November (yes we have had constant snow since November) and it is 156.8 cm (with more to come). This morning the temperature was – 18° (feels like -30° with the wind chill).
Sigh………my week in Cuba (Feb 1-8) seems SO long ago right now.
