Dino-Skort

My baby has transformed into a pterodactyl.  A little squeaking dinosaur.  Henry has discovered that squeals and screams are vastly more amusing that coos.

Lunch was a twist on my very favorite Trader Joe’s frozen meal… Beloved Vegetable Panang Curry!

Pumped up with roasted potatoes and kale.

The potatoes were so good – I drizzled them in coconut oil and roasted at 425 for about thirty minutes.  Crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside.

MizFit Running Skort

Do you read MizFit?  Well, you should!  She’s funny, smart, approachable, and all-around amazing.  And now she has an official running skort!

She adopted her daughter from Guatamela and is hoping that sales of the skort will raise money for the organization Mayan Families, a small non-profit organization operating in the Highlands of Guatemala.

You can learn more about this badass running skort on MizFit’s blog.  I’m lovin’ the slit and compression shorts.  Pretty nifty.

It is so fun when they find their “voice”!

?? – Seems like I remember you making something with a can of lentil soup but I can’t find it now.

I can’t find the post either but it was basically add two servings of rice, beans, and greens to a can of lentil soup.

I still compare my kids to pterodactyl’s! So, I’m afraid he won’t grow out of the screeches for awhile. My 6 year old still makes noises at me, and it drives me crazy. So, now the 3 year old does these grunts/screeches too. Usually it is a response to something I’ve said that they don’t like. Super fun, NOT!

I didn’t know Mizfit adopted from Guatemala – that’s awesome! And the skorts adorable, definitely a good way to raise some moneys. :-)

That screeching and squealing is a good sign!! It’s a big language developmental milestone (I’m a speech pathologist). Yay Henry!

I miss Trader Joe’s so much it almost makes me cry. I lived 15 minutes away from one in Pennsylvania BUT we are FINALLY getting not one, but TWO TJ’s in Colorado next year. These will be the first locations in Colorado. Can you believe CO has missed out on the wonders of TJ’s for this long?! Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t

I love MizFit! I used to babysit for her when I was in grad school in Texas, actually. That skirt is SO her! What a great way to raise money for that cutie of hers.

Too cute, and what a great cause! I have never run in a skort, but it looks like fashion meets function here, so I’d be up for trying it!
