Saturday morning: Another mom, dad, and baby meet-up at the golf course.
With our friends Sean, Heather, and baby Mirabelle and Jen, Jeff, and Wyatt.
It’s back to being incredibly warm outside!
Afterwards: lunch at Earthfare’s hot bar.
Followed by a shopping trip that resulted in this purchase.
Outdoor furniture is 50% off nearly everywhere! We got this set from World Market.
Henry is enjoying the high-contrast umbrella.
Saturday night, Maggie got stuck upstairs and couldn’t figure out how to get to us (um, go back down the stairs?).
Three A.M. feeding and swaddle with Henry. He looks suspicious.
Breakfast on the deck:
Sweaty Darjeeling iced tea.
Followed by a Couch to 5K workout. I signed up for a 5 mile race and, in order to be ready, need to accelerate my C25K plan a bit. I’m skipping a week; I feel ready. ‘Twas a good workout – I did 2.4 miles in 31 minutes!
And then my friend Brittney came over and we went on a walk.
Hi, Henry.
How’s your weekend shaping up? Is it really already halfway through Sunday? Noooooo!

Poor Maggie
I love hearing stories like that about Maggie – she is just so sweet
Also, Henry is adorable! I think babies look so cute when swaddled.
So proud of you for getting out there in this heat and running. And SO excited that you’ve signed up for a race already!
That outdoor table set looks gorgeous, and I’m sure you’ll really put it to good use!
Oh Maggie, you poor thing. We have a cat that does stuff like that sometimes.
I absolutely LOVE world market! We got my son’s bedroom furniture there. (chase bedroom). He’s 3, but tosses like a mad man and always hits his head on his toddler bed, so we got the Chase platform. He’ll grow into it and I’m not worried he’ll fall out and break his arm. If you know anyone in the Houston area looking for a cheap toddler bed, we’re getting rid of his now that he has a big boy bed.
Love World Market! That patio set looks great!
Gotta love being on the west coast
It’s still morning here! Having a lazy one too, I haven’t even eaten breakfast yet. And I have no intention of changing out of my pj’s ahhhh! Have a great afternoon!
that better not be from Ikea…
Love the deck table. Such a nice way to have breakfast.
Poor Maggie. The sweet little thing.
That picture of maggie cracks me up! Silly dog.
It was great seeing you and meeting Henry. He is a sweetheart
Glad we got to catch up!
I love the look of that umbrella! And it is seriously amazing that you’re already back to working out and signed up for a race
Just started the same couch-to-5k program! I haven’t signed up for a race, but I’ve realized that I do better working out when I have a plan to follow, so I’m just doing the program for some running structure. Good luck with your race!
I did 2.15 miles of hiking (almost 30 weeks along) with the family today. First major hike in a month and I am so glad I did it. Hoping for more mileage throughout the week…but its going to be near 100* early this week so I will have to be careful!
Love your outdoor set. Glad the swaddling is going well.
My neighbor’s dog….Danny ~ will go up on my deck and onto my yard….then he’ll go to the gate of my fence and whine to get out!! HA!! All he has to do is walk back up on the deck ~ walk across the deck and get out that wa …. it’s funny to watch =)
Oh, I really wouldn’t have been able to resist a 50% off outdoor furniture!
I have just started Couchto5k again and feeling much more confident about it!
maggie is too funny! I LOVE your new outdoor furniture, so beach house like!! I need to go checkout some 50% off sales in my area!
I love patio furniture. Eating out on a patio is one of the top reasons for my current house fund!
I laughed out loud at Maggie! Too funny.
1. Maggie is too cute, 2. LOVE your new outdoor furniture, and 3. I’m so proud and excited that you are able to get back into working out so quickly after giving birth. You’re awesome!!
Maggie is so cute, getting stuck upstairs, poor girl and I think it is funny when my puppy chases her tail. The outdoor furniture is awesome! You are an inspiration on with the work outs!
Maggie is so freakin’ adorable. Something about dogs that aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed just make them that much cuter.
