The blog and I are enmeshed. Let me explain.
Last night, I dreamt that my blog crashed and that my web guy (Isaac) called me frantically because he couldn’t revive HTP. A phone call ripped me away from slumber – and it was my dad, calling to say that the blog was actually down. Crazy, right? It gave me the spooks! Enmeshed, I tell you.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been spending a fair share of time at the computer because I’d working on book edits. The rolling chair antics are back in full swing. This time around, I’m torturing James.
If James could talk, he would say, “Seriously, Ma. Stop it.”
So stop it I did – just for lunch.
This was a really easy dish to create but very, very yummy. Beans, rice, and cheese? Yes, please.
All combined in a warm pot on top of the stove:
Cooked brown rice
Roasted broccoli
Pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
Cheddar cheese
Tomorrow is the beginning of a crazy weekend. Two tris, two days. I’m sure it’s going to be just fine, but it’s still a little nerve-wracking. I just want to do well and have fun… and smokin’ the other ladies in my age division wouldn’t be too bad, either. Saturday’s race is particularly small so maybe I have a good shot of making the podium if I really buckle down!
Here are some old(ies but goodies) posts about triathlons:

Good luck on your tri’s this weekend–I am sure you’ll do great!
good luck this weekend! and i loved your post earlier today – so much so that i sent it to my boyfriend of 3.5 years to show him that we were on track to be successful, too even though we are still years from marriage!
Good luck this weekend! I may come out to watch the Sunday race since it’s close to my house! P.S. There’s a new Earthfare up this way … just fyi in case in you want to fuel up afterwards

Oh my gosh, how crazy that you KNEW!!!!
You have a bloggy sixth sense, it seems. Two things: amazing lunch, and GOOD LUCK for your race weekend! <3 xyx
My mom & I have a sort of ESP like that, too. We often think about someone right before they call or have a dream about something very similar to what ends up actually happening. We joke about it all the time
Good luck with the double tri weekend!
That is crazy!!!
hahahaha – she’s not kidding – I woke her up and she was clearly trapped between realities – but then, I thought it was Saturday!
Good luck this weekend! Sounds like you will be one busy lady. Have fun!
I love rolling chair posts! I curse the carpeting at my work.
That kind of stuff happens to my mom all the time. I swear she’s got some really freaky ESP thing going on. Last week she called to tell me she had a dream about one of my ex-boyfriends. Guess who sent me a fb message that next day out of the blue after almost 8 years of not speaking. FREAKY!
Good luck with your races this weekend!
The looks on James’ face is priceless. My cat’s usually look like that when I am trying to afflict my affection on them.
Have a good race!
Heheh THANKS Dana!
I love the expression on James’ face!
Good, good luck with your tris this weekend!!
Haha I’ve been having a fair bit of rolling chair fun at work this week too!
good luck with the tris!
Good luck! You will do great!
The look on James’s face says it all, doesn’t it ; )
Good luck this weekend! I’m training for my second marathon and have been continually upping my mileage by a mile a week but can’t seem to make any progress with it getting easier to run. Seems to be getting harder whereas with my last marathon training my runs got easier because my body got accustomed to doing at least 15 at one time. My last run was 17 miles and I had to start walk/ running after 5 miles. I need help any advice on what I can do?
Hmm it could be so many things – check out this post.. http://www.healthytippingpoint.com/2010/10/cures-for-sluggish-runs.html Hopefully it will help! GL!
Haha omg, those pics with James made me laugh. He looks so terrified!
I think that James needs a scarf, too.
James’s ears and face in that second pic are HILARIOUS! Good luck this weekend!
I’ve had “psychic” dreams before too! It’s so creepy!
Good luck in your races this weekend!
Those dreams are SO freaky! It’s as if our minds know what’s going on already!
My dog, Geronimo, makes that same face when I pick him up.*
awww!! haha I love the name Geronimo for a doggie~that’s really cute
oh crazy!!! haha that is cool and strange~I love it when my dreams actually do have meaning
Have a beautiful day!
I have crazy dreams like that ALL the time! Love when stuff like that happens.
Just wanted to tell you that I love the new links on the right!
James has a silly mummy!
Great great list filled with realistic pieces of advice. and number 10–i like it!
Good luck this weekend! I can’t wait to read the recaps! I’m racing tomorrow too! (only a 5K thought!) However, you’ll kick butt in your tris! (plural, so crazy!)
Wow, you will do great times 2! GOOD LUCK!
Oh your puppy is just adorable!
This is the last blog I read before I fell back asleep this morning and I had the weirdest dream that you were very stressed out because you were Suri Cruise’s Nanny and they kept forcing you to make these really elaborate “brown paper bag” puppets for her. So weird.
ohmigod YES LOL
HAHAH James’s eyes in that one pick are too funny!
That is one of the coolest things ever. I wish I had moments like that! My best friend can totally detect stuff like that, and I wish I did too. I think it makes the whole world seem connected and complete.
I love the look of sheer terror in James’ eyes in the second photo hahaha I shouldn’t laugh but it’s just so cute.
