July Superlatives

in Superlatives

My favorite design blog, Young House Love, just did a fun July Superlatives post of their most useful and memorable posts from the last month.  Fun!  I thought I’d steal borrow the idea since the goodies always tend to get buried.

Can you believe it’s almost AUGUST?

Your pups are just too adorable! I want them to meet my pup Mo 😀

  • Leanne (Bride to Mrs,) July 29, 2011, 1:59 pm

My Bridal Shower was the best moment of July 2011. I really didn’t think I would enjoy it (I’m not a *games* person) but I had the best time.

It sounds corny (which is okay!) but I felt so loved on that day. It was amazing to look around and see all the incredible women in my life.

  • Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife July 29, 2011, 2:21 pm

OKay this is such a great post! And a GREAT way to re-capture awesome moments of July 2011.

I loved the moment I found out I got my dream job 🙂 Oh and seeing my family perform in a pageant was pretty magical too 😉

  • Rachel July 29, 2011, 2:23 pm

I could look at dog pictures all day! I’ve always thought someone should start a blog this is a webcam of their dog(s) and leave it on 24/7. I would constantly check in on it, even if all the dog did was sleep. I never get tired of watching my dog sleep! Actually, I just need a webcam of my dog and cat so I can watch them all day while I’m at work…when I come home from work I always wonder when and why he has chewed up the tissue box.

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:32 am

      Bawhahah. Because he was bored!

  • Kelsey July 29, 2011, 2:26 pm

Where did you get the nude peep toes you wore to Nicole’s ceremony? I have been looking all over for a good pair!

Great way to look back through the month!

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:32 am

Banana Republic, but last season 🙁

  • Holly @ The Runny Egg July 29, 2011, 2:32 pm

I forgot about the nose clip post! Hilarious.

What a great idea — I loved catching up on things I missed while on vacation 🙂 Thanks for sharing your highlights! Favorite moment: celebrating my Mom and Dad’s 36th anniversary and Dad’s birthday in Florida! It was just my husband and I and my parentals, and it was so wonderful (we never, ever go on vacations)! Twas the best.

  • becca (bellebottoms) July 29, 2011, 2:41 pm

I have too many moments! My favorite one (well, it was a long one!) was my annual trip to Europe with my parents. I tag along on their work trips when I can, and this year I got to check out two new cities to me: Barcelona and Stockholm….travelling moments took the cake this year!

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:31 am

      I’m jeals of your travels!

  • Gina @ Running to the Kitchen July 29, 2011, 2:49 pm

Between this and the 7 links posts this month it’s been so much fun to re-read the “best of” stuff on people’s blogs. My fav July moment was placing 2nd for women in a 5K!

  • Joyce @ Jranola Joyce July 29, 2011, 2:54 pm

Love the plug nose with lips photos!! haha

  • Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat July 29, 2011, 2:55 pm

Hehehe great post Caitlin! I love all of these, especially the nose clip! July had some good moments for me… the best involved seeing friends that I haven’t seen in ages, as well as spending time just enjoying the sunshine. This is my first summer that I’ve been a full time office worker so I’m beginning to learn that summer weather should NOT be taken for granted!

  • Ellie@fitforthesoul July 29, 2011, 3:07 pm

Very nice! I think all of July was rather good, but I have to say meeting a blogger friend was amazing!

  • Danielle July 29, 2011, 3:09 pm

I can’t make a human nose clip either!

My favorite moment in July was finding out Baby is a GIRL!

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:31 am

      Congrats on your bebe girl!

LIttle Bee was great! My favorite moment in July was yesterday when I got to see my baby BOY via ultrasound! 🙂 So exciting.

  • Erika @ The Teenage Taste July 29, 2011, 4:03 pm

Oh I remember smiling so wide after scrolling through the Human Noseclip montage. I can’t help but be a little sad though…I can’t do it! 😛

  • cj weaber @ http://cjh002.wordpress.com July 29, 2011, 4:06 pm

this weekend! a tradition where 12-15 of my husband’s friends stay with us all weekend and engage in some crazy, funny and very memorable moments. They are all married now and in their late twenties and thirties but I swear they think they are in college again…I just sit back and observe. It always is such an awesome time!
PS. The Panda Puff French Toast was awesome! I added dark chocolate dreams peanut butter and it tasted like a peanut butter cup. soooo good!

  • Hillary July 29, 2011, 4:17 pm

My last day of grad school summer session was my favorite July moment. It marked the halfway point in my master’s program!

  • Anna July 29, 2011, 4:23 pm

Ever since you posted your 10 Questions post, I’ve been obsessed with the Wedding Buzz forums. Seriously. I don’t want to post though because I’m not engaged yet. Haha.

Thanks for giving me another distraction.

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:31 am

Hah I think there’s a “weddings on the brain” forum for those who aren’t engaged yet 🙂

  • Samantha @ Mama Notes July 29, 2011, 5:04 pm

geeze, you blog a lot girl! 😉

  • Khushboo July 29, 2011, 5:24 pm

Love this recap! I loved all of July as I was travelling between Dubai, London and Prague. Even though I am currently living in Mumbai, I will always consider London ‘home’ so it was nice coming back!

  • Molly @ RDexposed July 29, 2011, 5:41 pm

I think that picture of Maggie is greeting card material.

  • Mary @ Bites and Bliss July 29, 2011, 5:55 pm

You’ve definitely had a busy July!! I’d have to say my favorite part was when Michael moved in. :):)

  • Shayla @ The Good Life July 29, 2011, 5:55 pm

    Love this post!

My fav moment of July 2011 was my hubby and I deciding that we’d start trying for a baby, NOW! 🙂

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:30 am

      🙂 Yay, bebes!!!

  • Wendy July 29, 2011, 6:30 pm

I’m so sad it’s almost August – that means I have to go back to work soon! (I’m a teacher) Summer went by tooooooo fast!

I think my favorite moment of July was running a fast and strong 5K the morning after pulling on a tug of war team (yay for small town fairs!) AND stopping to check on a fellow runner who was struggling. I didn’t care if it wasn’t a true PR, I just felt GREAT! 🙂

Fun post – you should do one for the end of every month!

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:29 am

      Yay congrats on your 5k!

  • Jen July 29, 2011, 6:34 pm

My favorite moment of July is a no-brainer. My boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me on the 4th! 🙂

    • CaitlinHTP July 30, 2011, 10:29 am

      Happy engagement!

  • Kristen @ notsodomesticated July 29, 2011, 7:09 pm

Love this post!! I have a lot of great moments from July. Eating my way through Chicago with the husband (chicken and waffles = amazing), visiting my mom in Florida (and eating way too much there, too!), my visit with my work friends the other day (including a fluffernutter cupcake… yum!), and running 8 miles with my husband last weekend (this weekend is 9 miles… yikes!). This month was great and went by wayyy too fast!

  • Mama Pea July 29, 2011, 8:01 pm

Thanks for the book love! Did you know that Operation Beautiful is an absolute steal on Amazon right now? Anyone that doesn’t already own it SHOULD!

  • Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin July 29, 2011, 8:13 pm

What a great way to recap the month. I loved both of those guest posts! I’m looking forward to (hopefully) others in August!

  • Amber K July 30, 2011, 12:43 pm

Had a fun day with my husband on his birthday. Nothing else too exciting happened in July except getting a filling at the dentist. Umm…whoo hoo? 😉

  • Jolene (www.everydayfoodie.ca) July 30, 2011, 8:55 pm

I had so many wonderful moments in July – dancing at my sister’s stagette takes the cake though 🙂
