Breakfast in Bed

I’m stuck under the covers, and I can’t untangle myself!  Help!

Breakfast in bed has that effect.

I did briefly rise to make the Husband and I breakfast – but two hours later, we’re still laying around, making ‘sandwiches’ with the dogs (we are the bread and they are the meat and cheese).  A wonderfully lazy Sunday, if you ask me.

Oh my, my, my – the Grilled Banana Sandwich is back.  SO good.  Make this now!

And top it with sunflower seeds for a fun salty and sweet mix.

If, at some point, I manage to pull myself out of bed, I plan to go for a short run before settling down for some writing.  I’m at the point where I can’t take many days off until September or my third book will NEVER be finished (it’s a healthy living guide).  I really enjoy writing it; it’s just very research and interview-intensive.

One day, one page at a time!

But first, I’m going to finish this coffee.  Mmm.

I wasn’t going to read any blogs this morning. I’m very conflicted with it right now. But I am glad I came here. I’ve been “beating myself” up all morning for sleeping in when it’s beautiful out and not getting any work or cleaning done properly when I have so much to do.

So – thanks I guess – and happy writing. It sounds intense to me! But at least it’s for a great purpose and goal. I’m just floundering ;)

When you get to the point where you’re making “dog sandwiches” you know you need kids ;) I myself recently dedicated a Facebook status to teaching my puppy to shake, so I’m there too!

We had a super lazy morning today too! We got up at 8am, had breakfast, showered, but then went back to bed at 9:30am — and just got up. It is 12:30 :)

Awwww…there’s nothing better than a puppy sandwich on a lazy Sunday afternoon. My dog’s not allowed on the bed, so we do a standing sandwich, with him grunting happily between our legs. Dogs are so funny.

Lucky ducky! I’d be fine being tangled in the sheets if it meant breakfast in bed!

I think I’d make this for a lunch since I can’t tear myself away from my morning oats regimen.
