Who Taught You?

in All Posts

The Husband would be very proud of me! I spent the last thirty minutes explaining football to my mom.  :)  I wasn’t raised in a very sporty family, obviously!  The Husband taught me everything I know about sports.

Mom made dinner for me while I cheered on the Saints.

I was excited to try a new Morningstar product, Veggie Bites Broccoli Cheddar.  I don’t normally buy frozen “faux meat” products, but they can be a nice change.

IMG_6723

They were good!  I had four and dipped them in Dijon mustard.

IMG_6731

I also had a sweet potato and steamed veggies.

Dessert was a couple of crackers with raspberry jam.

I’ve got to hit the hay.  I’m hoping to wake up really early and get my drive on – it’s 650+ miles between Powell and Orlando!

Oh, and I know you don’t eat faux meats very much, but I have to recommend Quorn to you. They make an array of veggie meats and the Chik’n nuggets are amazing! They don’t use soy, so there isn’t a risk of breast cancer. They use something called mycoprotein, which is derived from mushrooms, truffles and other types of fungus. They taste EXACTLY like chicken, it’s really remarkable.
    I hope you try them!

    -Bonnie
