Bowling and Brews

Beer, anyone?

IMG_5856

The Husband, my brother in law, and I are headed to the bowling alley.  I think we all want a stiff drink – or a pitcher of beer to share.  🙂

I worked on my freelance articles all afternoon – and by work, I mean stare at the screen in frustration.  Finally, Jenna g-chatted me and told me to stop forcing it, and I must admit, I was happy to call it a night.  :)  Sometimes, the words just won’t flow!

Dinner:

Dippy egg on toast, roasted potatoes + ketchup, and broccoli.

Afternoon snack was a bowl of cereal:

Time to get my bowl on!

I hope you have a wonderful Friday night, too.

I’m a terrible bowler, but it sounds like lots of fun.
I’m glad you’re having swim lessons by the way – good form makes swimming MUCH easier!

    I was wondering:
What type of cereal is that?
And what type of granola do you eat?

    • Caitlin January 15, 2010, 11:54 pm

Cereal is the Costco brand Pecan and Blueberry

and the Granola is Harvest brand.

  • Danielle January 15, 2010, 10:53 pm

Carl and I played bowling on Wii tonight and he asked if we wanted to go “in real life sometime”. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud when he said that. I’m game, but I’m HORRIBLE in real life.

Hope you’re having a wonderful Friday night!

That first picture looks like it should be an ad for Stella Artois. Very cool.

  • Katharine January 16, 2010, 12:27 am

I love bowling! Duck pin bowling is really popular here in Baltimore and there are a bunch of places where it’s BYOB. Very fun and relatively cheap date night or night out with friends!

  • Mastering Public Health January 16, 2010, 12:46 am

Woohoo, bowling! And brews. Reliving those England days already, huh? 😉

  • Freya @ foodfitnessandfreya.wordpress.com January 16, 2010, 6:17 am

I wish I could bowl 🙁 whenever I go, I always have to have those stupid child rails up so the ball doesn’t go down the side :p and I still never get a good score!
Your dinner looks like breakfst 😛
    Have fun!

  • Allison January 16, 2010, 6:38 am

Husband and I are thinking about bowling and brews (for him) tonight! My high score is about 60, so as you can tell, I’m the world’s worst bowler. Maybe beer would help…

  • Morgan @ Life After Bagels January 16, 2010, 6:44 am

I kept thinking “If she can run a marathon, I can do 3.1 miles!” And I did!! 33:00.82 with some BIG hills to climb! Thanks for being an inspiration!
