it's amazing how much you can eat after a 20 mile run. i once went to a buffett and down 6 plates of crap. it was an amazing show, but i won't make that mistake again.

My favorite post workout meal ever was falafel, hummus and pita at this place called Shiraz where I live. I ate it after a 10K back in March and it hit the spot so well that I still haven't forgotten about it ;-)

I crave just about everything after a good workout, but my favorite is a bagel and flavored cream cheese and a stop at Starbucks :)

Well...I've yet to run 20 miles, so I have no idea what my favorite recovery meal is for such insane mileage (GO YOU!) So far my longest has been 8 miles, and when I come home I crave *salt.* So usually I'll make a fried egg sandwich with a slice of cheese and a glass of milk with some fruit for dessert. It always takes care of the "salt cravings" and has a nice balance of protein and carbs to refuel me. :D

LOVE the snack plate idea! :D

Your food makes me hungry, though since I did not run 20 miles, I probably shouldn't eat all of it...
I'm most excited by your snack plate - that cheese is total food porn.
I also love mac and cheese (yes, I'm generally obsessed with cheese) and I make a pretty amazing home made kind (if I do say so myself) but it is not healthy in the least.

Love that the mac n cheese is "not the healthy kind" ;) I usually love a giant smoothie after a hard workout. But for solid food, I like sandwiches or pitas after :)
