There are plenty of bras that are made for smaller band sizes - it's a shame that the ones you find are scarring you like that! Freya Active, for example, makes very good sports bras in smaller band sizes (I bought the wireless one in a 28 and it's very snug and secure). Remember when you go down a band size to add a cup size to get the same volume, so if you normally wear a 34C, for example, try 32D, 30DD, or 28DDD. Figleaves.com and Bravissimo.com have a wide range of sports bras in a 28-32 band size. (I used to wear a 34 band when I'm actually a 28/30 and had permanent red 'scars' in my shoulders from the straps. Once I was in the right size for a few months, they went away, so maybe the same can happen for you. Good luck!)

Congrats on getting back to double digits!! I did 10 miles this morning also...it feels amazing!

Thanks for the review of Body Glide. I, too, have permanent scars from where my sports bra has rubbed over the last 5 1/2 years. I never knew there was such a thing to prevent it. Gah. Well I'll have to get some!

Great job on your 10 miler!! Awesome! I did 7.5 yesterday which is my longest yet. I'm slowly getting there. Hope to run a 1/2 maybe in Dec. or the DIsney Princess in March. I like to train slow =)

I have a ? about your knee sleeves - are they Pro Techs? I use the Pro Tech arch supports and really like them. But now I am having trouble with my left knee and what I guess is PT syndrome, is this what you have? I have the little strap (also Pro tech) that is just like a band that goes right under your knee cap to help with alignment and have used that for ~week with success, but wonder if I should try a sleeve regularly too? Any insight on what you prefer or have you always just used a sleeve?

Awesome job on your 10-miler!! I loved seeing the "production" of getting ready for a long run, because I feel the same way when I prep for longer runs.

Thanks for the tip on the coconut water, I just might have to try that. I also find myself in need of a Camelbak or some type of fluid holding device.

I haven't tried the Body Glide, but when I started noticing chaffing from my shorts this spring, I tried Dr. Scholl's Miracle Shield (which I had bought to help prevent blisters with my high heels, haha), and it works fabulously!

P.S. The pancakes look amazing!!!!

Such a brilliant achievement: I'm totally in awe of how spectacularly you've bounced back from injury stronger than ever. You dealt with it so well and were both sensible and proactive in your recovery, which has obviously paid off in the long run (pun fully intended) I have much to learn from you, sensei...

I'm thinking of signing up for a ten miler in November but am pretty intimidated by the concept...the furthest I've ever gone is 8.7 miles, this morning!

Keep riding the double digit high

xoxox
