My name is Caitlin, and I'm 26 years old. I love running, delicious food, writing, friends, traveling, cold beer, and the great outdoors.

This blog documents my food and fitness habits as I strive to find balance in my busy life. In September 2009, I resigned from my corporate job to freelance and write a book based on my other blog. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wonderful Husband (who is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine) and two dogs, Maggie and James.

Operation Beautiful Goes Cross-Country!

Monica from Run, Eat, Repeat is taking a cross-country tour!  She is driving from California to Maryland from July 10 to July 17, and along the way, she will be spreading theOperation Beautiful love!

Monica will be posting Operation Beautiful notes in every city she stops in, and we’ll be playing a fun game of "Where in the USA is Monica?"  The stops may include corny tourist destinations, random gas station bathrooms and everything in between!

Tomorrow on Operation Beautiful, we’ll find out her FIRST stop.  But here are some clues:

1.       This city hosts a marathon in December.
2.       Last year over 33 million people visited this city – so, a lot of women will see the Operation Beautiful notes
3.       With pictures of “sexy ladies” everywhere you look – this place really needs a reminder that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Can you guess Where in the USA is Monica? Go to Operation Beautiful to cast your vote! :)

    That is awesome! Great idea!

Also, I believe FL is a mosquito heavy state? Is that right? Got any runner's tips for dealing with the skeeters? I just got back from a trail run in hot, humid, muggy Tenn. and I am sort of freaking out because I paused on my run to give some kiddos directions, and when I did so the mosquitos literally swarmed me. I checked my iPod before and after stopping so I know that I was only stationary for 1:43 seconds (lol, I know, how precise), and then when I got my car I counted my bites and…..I got 74 bites. Swear to kale. Is there a health threat?!?! Do ya mind putting out a general question to all your readers if they have bug advice for running? THANK YOU THANK YOU
