I was quite disappointed to come home from work and see that it was pouring!
The rain resulted in a delay on my long run — it was a pretty insane thunderstorm and we lost power for a few hours. Oh, Florida in the summertime! Hopefully, I can run tomorrow!
I snacked on a slice of bread with PB:
And later for dinner, I had soup and salad:
The soup was the Wolfgang Puck kind. It was pretty delish!
Then, the Husband and I met up with Meghann, Megan, and Megan’s friend Debbie to see Food, Inc.

Only crazy foodies like us would be this interested in seeing a movie all about the food industry!
This movie theatre serves BOOZE! How great is that! I have a white zin:
The booze was probably a really bad idea because Food Inc. was a highly emotional movie for me. I actually cried several times throughout the movie. I can’t even stand to review it right now because it was so powerful; I need a few days to process it.
However, I can say that I think EVERYONE SHOULD SEE THIS MOVIE. It will blow your mind.
Additionally, I was really proud to see Stonyfield so prominently featured in the movie. As you all know, Stonyfield is the primary sponsor for the Healthy Living Summit and all my interactions with the company have proven that they really are into sustainable farming, organic foods, and healthy living. Rock on, Stonyfield!
I promise to review the movie soon….
Until then, I’m going to have another slice of PB toast, and then it’s bed time for me!

I can't wait to hear your review…I'm dying to see this movie!
YEAH for the Stonyfield love! I've always been very happy with the quality of their products, and the integrity of the company means I am one loyal customer.
I thought Food, Inc. was very well-done, but wasn't surprised by most of the information… what's great is to get the reaction of a friend who went into the theater knowing NOTHING about what he's eating or where it comes from! My guy friend completely swore off soy after watching it, and is currently examining all of his food labels for hidden corn, lol.
Going to see the movie tomorrow! I can't wait
Can't wait to hear your review! Looks like a fun outing!
i'm very interested to hear what you thought of the movie. i have been wondering about it myself.
You are so lucky that you're getting rain. Does the temperature cool down when it's storming? I live in AZ. It's hotter than @#&*. It's going to be 112 tomorrow.
No rain in sight.
Sorry the movie was so emotional for you! I can;t wait to see it tomorrow!
glad you like the movie – i don't think i've ever cried at a documentary!
i have to wait to see the movie when it comes out on netflix i think but i am happy to say Stoneyfield is made right here in New Hampshire!
I loved the Stoneyfield guy too! I couldn't believe that all of those health brands like Naked Juice, Tom's of Maine, etc. were now owned by huge companies. I teared up at several points during the film too. I don't see how anyone with a heart could not be touched by it in some way.
If you want to learn more about the government's role in what we eat, read Food Politics by Marion Nestle. It reads sort of like a text book at parts, but it was one of the most informative books I ever read.
Whenever I see Wolfie, I think of you! One of the movie theaters around here serves booze as well – it's great
I am going to see that today! I am expecting good things now!
Glad to know Stoneyfield is such a huge part of the movie…I love me some Stoneyfield!
Good to know they serve wine at the theater!! Haven't been to that one in a while!
