Sugar Plum Fairy Oatmeal

I awoke from a deep sleep and found myself humming music from The Nutcracker!  My dreaming inspired this lovely bowl of Sugar Plum Fairy oatmeal:

It was delicious!

My oatmeal contained:

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 sliced banana
  • Toppings: 1 tablespoon flax, 2 sliced pieces of plum (warmed in microwave for 20 seconds), and a sprinkle of fairy dust (AKA brown sugar)

This brekkie made me want to pirouette around my living room!   :)   It was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat!

10 Minute Strength Routine

While patiently waiting for my Prince the Husband to also awaken from his dreamy sleep, I did some strength moves:

  • 40 push-ups
  • 10 decline push-ups
  • 100 bicycle crunches
  • PT Strength Moves
  • PT Stretches

We’re planning to go for a bike ride later, but right now I just need to clean the house!  It’s a disaster zone.

Operation Beautiful

Sunday’s notes are up on Operation Beautiful!  Check them out!  Here’s my favorite (it’s always so hard to choose):

Joy posted this note on a Paris Hilton poster outside a beauty salon.  It reads “You’re unique.  Don’t compare! Beauty comes in many sizes, shapes, and ages!”

Loves it!

I love your oatmeal creations, they always look so unique. I'm slowly becoming more adventurous with mine, but am pretty obsessed with the PB and banana combo at the moment!

I love how you just drop down and do your strength routine whenever you feel like it. I need to take note because I hate strength training and need to apply the 10 minutes anytime approach.

Ahhh drooool – those plums look sooo good!!

I can go beach or pool, it usually depends where though! Like, I have a lot of family in the Naples area and when we're visiting in the summer the Gulf is just way too damn hot! But I enjoy your coast for its waves… and then ummmm up in NH the ocean never gets about like 50 degrees, haha.

When looking at an ad or through a magazine do not forget how much airbrushing and different shots were taken to make the model or celebrity look the way. We could all be on the same level as Paris Hilton if we were given the same treatment! I've "operation beautiful"-ed my house! Love the idea!

Your plum kind of looks like a bagel, haha. Lovely breakfast :) I'm a big fan of fairy dust on oatmeal too.
