Rain Washes the Heat Away

in All Posts

Good evening! I hope you guys had a productive Tuesday — we’re almost over the mid-week hump!

Mid-afternoon snacks:  Chobani yogurt and granola (times two).

Orange raisins!  These were delish (and from England).

It was sooo hot this afternoon, but luckily the first Florida monsoon of the summertime rolled in and washed the heat away.

In Central Florida, it thunderstorms heavily at 3 PM every afternoon from April to August.

My 4.0 mile run was much more pleasant as a result!

  • Duration:  38 minutes (4.0 miles)
  • Calories Burned: 320

After my run I did some shredding.  I didn’t actually do the whole workout, I just did some of my favorite moves for about 5 minutes.  Loads of crunches and walking push-ups (gulp!)

Dinner… a side salad:

Wolfgang Puck’s Chicken Dumpling soup.

Plus a handful of grapes.

I LOVED everyone’s quotes, by the way!  If you  haven’t read the comments, click on the post below to read some inspirational, insightful, and very funny quotes.

I love seeing the Florida rains when I visit…it’s so much nicer because it clears up compared to Vancouver rains which can last weeks!

Maybe I’m just naive, but does it *really* rain at the same time every day during this season for you? … that’s really cool if it does!! That’s perfect for planning outdoor activities around 🙂 (or in…)

Hey!!! I just want to let you know, that after a long exploration of your blog, and a chat with my own running friend, I decided to go for a run yesterday. I’ve only run a few times before, either on a treadmill or to run a mile at school for testing around a track. Anyway, on a treadmill my time has been around 10 minutes, and just taking the run outside brought it down to 8:40!!!! I’m really excited to set up some routes and get running multiple miles at time, because I can definitely slow down a bit to extend the distance! 🙂 So thanks for the inspiration!!!
