Burning Eyes

in All Posts

I am so excited for the weekend.  Tonight, I’m driving up to my in-laws’ house to spend some time with Husband’s family.  I love their house!  The last time we visited, we played "Purchase Your Dream Home," which is my absolute favorite game!!  Check out the post if you aren’t familiar with the game. 🙂

Work is going well.  I’m reading a traffic engineering report (it’s as exciting as it sounds).  This requires me to stare at the screen and compare numbers for dozens of pages.  I have BURNING EYES!

I took everyone’s advice and ate a mid-morning snack around 11 AM.

I tried the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond bar from the True Delights line.  It was yummy — but again, too many fake ingredients for me to actually purchase this bar.  But it was good, so thanks again, FoodBuzz!

I managed to hold off until 12:15 to eat lunch.

I had two WW English muffins with turkey and melty cheese.  Oh sammies, I love you in all shapes, sizes, and tastes.

I get burning eyes whenever I have to read a ton for class! It’s so annoying.

This weekend, I’m going to a “Ladies Superbowl” party at a nearby bar, complete with free, food drinks and male dancers. I CAN’T WAIT.

Oh, and we’ll watch the game at some point too.

I agree about the bars – good and lots of big chunks, but too much fake stuff!

I’m going to a concert and dinner tonight with the bf to celebrate my birthday! Also on the weekend books is Superbowl fun, brunch with old friends and packing for a work trip to Germany next week. Hoping to bake something for the blog too. It’s gonna be a busy one!

I’ve got a basketball alumni game tomorrow, a 10K race on Sunday and then the superbowl, obvi. I’ve got baking and cooking to do. I’m already exhausted.

Did you find your bar to be lacking in the almond department? I had mine today and there was 1, maybe 1.5 almonds.

My weekend plans will probably include reading blogs, making granola, a long run, kickboxing class, and preparing food for a super bowl party with all of four attendees (including myself). Oh, and homework is, of course, the cherry on top.

I hope your plans are equally awesome, if not awesome-er.
