Pigskin

in All Posts

Our dinner plans were canceled, so Future Husband and I decided to get a nice workout in.  But we’re so sick of the gym!  We played a little pigskin instead.

We went to a nearby park and played catch for 22 minutes.  I wore my heart rate monitor and tried to keep my heart rate up the entire time.

(Gawd, I’m such a loser!)

If I didn’t catch the ball, I had to drop and do two push-ups.  If Future Husband didn’t catch the ball, he had to do five push-ups.  🙂 Future Husband would throw the ball about 20 yards from whenever I was at so I had to sprint after it.  Whenever I wasn’t running after the ball, I did jumping jacks in place

It was a really fun workout! Here are my statistics:

  • Duration: 23 minutes
  • Average Heart Rate: 137 bpm
  • Maximum Heart Rate: 168
  • Calories Burned: 140

It was so cool out, and the park looked wonderful as the sunset.  I LOVE AUTUMN IN FLORIDA!

Tonight’s Eats

Around 2:30, I had my usual cereal + yogurt with some raisins and almonds.

Around 4:00, the munchies struck…. HARD.  I knew that a little snack wouldn’t do it for me (mentally) so I made a PB sammie.

And as a result of my larger mid-day snacks, I wasn’t really that hungry for dinner.  I used Pacific Natural Foods Organic Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup and added in stir fried veggies.

A dollop of Fage completed the meal…. mmmm perfection!

Well, off to watch about 1,000 episodes of backed-up programming on our TiVO to watch.  🙂 Have a wonderful night!
